Central Tenants of PACE

The central tenants of the PACE project can be summarized in the following linear simplification of the main research thread:

1. Embedded IT in solution (immersed IT) is necessary for constructive IT

2. This requires complex self-X structures, controlling their own synthesis: like   Artificial Cells (ACs)

3. Simplest ACs are now within reach of Systems Chemistry, but

4. This requires strong multiscale simulation and modelling

5. Programming complex chemistry needs MEMS complementation

6. Microscopic programmable feedback enables hybrid electronic-ACs

7. Programmable complementation enables evolutionary programming

8. Evolutionary complementation withdrawal will lead to full ACs

9. IT functionalization of ACs is a by-product of 5-8 including self-assembly of ACs (multicellularity).
