Foundation of a Center for Living Technology

talk

With the primary purpose to develop the collaboration and coordination of the PACE research, in 2005 the project Consortium established a Research Centre in Venice: the European Centre for Living Technology (ECLT, www.ecltech.org). The Venice location was motivated by the interest shown by the City Hall of Venice, the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice (offering space and administration to the Centre) and by the Nanotech District in the Scientific and Technological Park of Venice.

The founding Directors were John McCaskill, Norman Packard, Irene Poli, and the Science Board Chairman was Mark Bedau.
